Volunteer Front of House Staff

Pioneer Theatre Company is expanding its already active base of Volunteer Staff for the upcoming season, which will begin in September 2015.

Front of House Volunteers are responsible for assisting patrons before, during and following performances with ticketing, seating, concessions, coat check, and donor receptions. Responsibilities vary by position.

Current Volunteer opportunities include:

(all volunteer positions require a full season commitment)

  • Volunteer Usher: 1 night per production commitment (seven total nights)--opportunity to watch performances while volunteering.
  • Volunteer Coat Check Attendant: 1 night per production commitment (seven total nights)--opportunity to watch performances while volunteering.
  • *NEW* Volunteer Ticket Taker/Concessions Assistant: Minimum 3 performances per production commitment (minimum 21 performances)--receives two complimentary tickets per production.
  • *NEW* Student Matinee Series Volunteer: Minimum commitment 1 Wednesday afternoon performance per production (may volunteer for two)—opportunity to watch the performance while volunteering.

Update 6/19/2015: We have received numerous applications for both the USHER and COAT CHECK positions. Applications for those positions received after 6/20 will be waitlisted for the 2016/17 season. We cannot guarantee that a spot will be open for applicants who applied before then. Thank you!
