Student Matinees

The PTC Student Matinee Program is designed to expose your students grades 6 to 12 to live professional theatre so they can develop an understanding of and love for this great art form. Wednesday matinees are held for all shows of the season and are open to grade school, junior high, and high school groups only. These performances are exactly the same as the evening performances, and feature the same quality professional theatre.

Pioneer Theatre Company provides educators with a Study Guide, sponsored by the George Q. Morris Foundation, to enhance their experience and “talk-back” sessions post-performance with the actors the students just saw on stage.

Student Matinees begin at 2 p.m. and are always held on Wednesdays. Ending times vary for each show. Tickets range from free to $16. We can occasionally provide assistance with ticket prices or transportation.

Matinee tickets are limited and reserved on a first come-first served basis. For best seating and the greatest convenience, call PTC's Educational Coordinator at 801-585-9840, or email: education@pioneertheatre.org. If Wednesday matinees are not an option for your group, Student group tickets (half price of regular prices) are also available on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
