Pioneer Theatre Company Announces Local Auditions for The Light in the Piazza.
Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company’s production of the Utah Premiere of The Light in the Piazza, will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2008, from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Callbacks will be scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, 2008; callback times will be announced later.
AEA (Equity)-only auditions will be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12th. AEA members may sign up for any time slot. Non-Equity auditioners audition from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the same day.
Auditions will be held in Room 245 of the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.
All auditioners must sign up for a time on the board inside the PTC Business Office, Room 325, on the main floor in the theatre. The sign-up sheet will be posted by 12 noon on Tuesday, August 5, 2008.
The Light in the Piazza includes principle and ensemble roles for men and women in their 20s to 50s. All roles are available. Auditioners should prepare a Broadway showtune from the show or in a similar style. Scripts will be available to check out on an overnight basis from the PTC Business Office at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 5, 2008. A photo and resume are recommended.
Rehearsal and Production Information:
Rehearsals for the production are Monday, November 10, 2008 through Thursday, December 4, 2008. Performance dates are Friday, December 5 through Saturday, December 20, 2008. Jack Going will direct, Jayne Luke will choreograph, and Michael Rice will be the Musical Director.
