Pioneer Theatre Company Announces
Press Reception for RENT
Pioneer Theatre Company is holding a Press Reception on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 10:15 a.m. featuring the cast and director of RENT.
The professional theatre’s upcoming production of RENT runs June 10-25, 2011. The cast of 16 includes 12 AEA members of which 10 are NYC-based.
AGENDA
10:15 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. Interviews Lobby
Director Karen Azenberg, who was a friend of RENT author, the late Jonathan Larson, and cast members will be available for one-on-one interviews, on-camera and off-camera.
Refreshments will be available.
11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Open Rehearsal Large Rehearsal Room
Reporters and film crew are invited to sit in and record the rehearsal of a musical number from the show. A space will be provided in the rehearsal hall for camera set-up. One of the shows' popular songs will be rehearsed.
RENT is an Equity production. AEA rules limit filming to 30 minutes, providing no more than 3 minutes of any scene is aired, and no scene or musical number is depicted in its entirety.

While interviews can be arranged at any time, this will be the only opportuntity to film what are normally closed rehearsals. Media are also invited to film preview performances June 8th & 9th.
