STEPHANIE CHACE BASS (Ensemble) is very happy to be back at Pioneer Theatre Company performing in Rent. She last appeared here as Vicki Vickers in A Chorus Line. Other recent stage credits include SLAC’s Saturday’s Voyeur 2011, Dark Horse’s Reefer Madness and The Grand Theatre’s The Marvelous Wonderettes (Betty Jean). Stephanie has two degrees from the University of Utah (Political Science and Environmental Studies) and she is a professional figure skater who trains out of the Park City Ice Arena. She thanks her parents for all their support.

GINGER BESS* (Ensemble, u/s Maureen) just appeared in Sunset Boulevard at PTC and is thrilled to be back! She would like to thank Karen, Chuck and Helen for letting her be part of something as special as Rent. Favorite roles include: Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, Mrs. Walker in The Who’s Tommy, Susan in Tick, Tick…Boom! Betty Haynes in White Christmas, Yonah in Children of Eden, Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, and the Mezzo Soprano in Bernstein’s Mass. Ginger is a voice teacher at Weber State and sings in the rock band Vivian’s Way. Love and thanks to her boys Daniel and Axel!

ARIANA ESCALANTE (Ensemble, u/s Mimi) is stoked out of her mind to be here performing at the beautiful Pioneer Theatre, and to be a part of the amazing message that is brought out so perfectly in Rent. Since discovering her passion for theater and vocal performance, Ariana has studied Musical Theatre at Weber State University, and performed throughout Utah as well as in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. Some of Ariana’s favorite roles include Maria (West Side Story), Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and definitely Fraulein Abby (Musical of Musicals). She would like to thank some of her most important mentors: Mom, Jim Christian, Laurel Warr, and especially her co-artist, best friend, and the love of her life, Morgan.

JASON GOTAY* (Angel Schunard) is a recent graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, where he received his BFA in Acting and a minor in Musical Theater. Regional credits include Rent at Westchester Broadway Theatre (Ensemble, u/s Angel), Shenandoah and The King and I at Gretna Theatre. Other New York/Educational credits include: Sweet Charity, Bright Lights Big City, Dog Sees God and Thoroughly Modern Millie, among others. Thanks to Pioneer Theatre Company for this amazing opportunity, Sinclair Management, and his family and friends for their love and support. Lastly, thanks to Jonathan Larson for the gift that is this beautiful work of art. This one’s for Mom.

DAVID GUY HOLMES (Ensemble, u/s Mark) makes his PTC debut. David has performed with Summer Musicale, HCT (West Valley), Lagoon, The Jackson Hole Playhouse, The Boston Conservatory and The Egyptian Theatre Company (ETC). His favorite show to date was Hair at ETC in 2010, where he pulled double duty as choreographer and portraying the character of Woof.

ERIC JACKSON* (Ensemble, u/s Collins, Dance Captain) Feels so blessed to be in another Pioneer Theatre Company production, having had the pleasure of performing in this season’s Sunset Boulevard. Other PTC shows include Miss Saigon, Les Misérables and Chicago. Broadway: Young Frankenstein and Thoroughly Modern Millie. National tours: Dreamgirls, Ragtime and Chicago. Some of his other off-Broadway and regional credits include: Show Boat (Carnegie Hall), Howard in Finian’s Rainbow (Irish Repertory Theatre and Westport Playhouse), Paul in Kiss Me, Kate (Weston Playhouse) as well as Gremio in Kiss Me, Kate (Westchester), Mereb in Aida (Westchester), My Fair Lady (Paper Mill Playhouse), and Tales from the Tunnel (Fringe NYC). ANDY MIENTUS* (Mark Cohen) is thrilled to play his dream role at Pioneer Theatre Company. Previous credits include Spring Awakening (Hanschen, original touring company, dir. Michael Mayer), Shine! (NYMF, Outstanding Individual Performance Award), Academy (Premiere, Maltz Jupiter Theatre and Daegu, South Korea), Big River (Huck, Music Theatre of Wichita) and many New York workshops including the role of Peter in a new draft of Bare (dir. Stafford Arima), and new work for The Roundabout Theatre Company, MCC Theater, The McCarter and Broadway Across America. Training from the University of Michigan.

FABIO MONTEIRO* (Roger Davis) originally hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is very honored to be making his Pioneer Theatre Company debut. Past regional credits include: Hair (Berger), Les Misérables (Enjolras), Aida (Radames), West Side Story (Tony), R&H’s Cinderella (The Prince), My Fair Lady (Freddy) as well as the European and Japanese tours of The Who’s Tommy (Lover/Hawker). Fabio is a graduate of the Atlantic Theater Company in NYC. Having grown up with Rent, he is ecstatic to finally be in it instead of watching it. He would like to thank everyone at Pioneer for giving him this opportunity. Also Ali, Mommy, Ray Ray and Mitchell.

HALLE MORSE* (Mimi Marquez) is overjoyed to be measuring her life in love with this brilliant cast of Rent. She has been playing Mimi to her bedroom mirror since age 12 and is thrilled that her official Mimi debut is also her Pioneer Theatre Company debut! RACHEL MOULTON* (Maureen Johnson) is delighted to be back at PTC after appearing in Black Comedy earlier this season. Playing Maureen has been a dream of hers ever since seeing the national tour of Rent in 1998. Off-Broadway: Young Zelda Fitzgerald in This Side of Paradise (Theatre at St. Clements). Favorite Regional: Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (John W. Engeman Theater), Dory in Finding Nemo: The Musical (WDW), Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival), and Frankie in The Member of the Wedding (The RedHouse). ADRIENNE MULLER* (Joanne Jefferson) is thrilled to be making her Pioneer Theatre Company debut with Rent. Tours include Nala in The Lion King (First National) and Mamma Mia! (Original Las Vegas Cast). Regional credits include Hair (Alpine Theatre Project), Aida (Arts Center of Coastal Carolina), Les Misérables (Atlanta TOTS), Caroline, Or Change, Ragtime, Smokey Joe’s Café (TheatreWorks, CA), Little Shop of Horrors, Smokey Joe’s Café, Damn Yankees, Joseph…, Grease (American Musical Theatre of San Jose), Beehive! (San Jose Stage). NY Readings: The Fisher King: A New Musical. Originally from Campbell, CA, now living in New York, she graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Theatre. Local audiences might remember her in Egyptian Theatre Company’s production of Hair, or most recently in Plan-B Theatre Company’s 8th annual SLAM.  She has performed with the Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespeare Festival, and with Cedar City’s Neil Simon Festival. She trained at Southern Utah University, and California State University’s Summer Arts intensive program in connection with Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre.

DANIEL T. SIMONS* (Ensemble, u/s Roger) is excited to return to PTC, having also appeared in Sunset Boulevard, 42nd Street, Miss Saigon, The Producers, Les Misérables, Paint Your Wagon and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Recent favorite roles include Jon in Jonathan Larson’s Tick, Tick…Boom! Cousin Kevin in The Who’s Tommy and Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar. While earning his B.A. in Musical Theater from WSU, Daniel was honored to perform with the cast of the Kennedy Center ACTF production of The Serpent in Washington, D.C. Other roles include Cain (Children of Eden), Billy Bigelow (Carousel), Franz (Sunday in the Park with George), Ernst (Cabaret), The Arbiter (Chess), Rapunzel’s Prince (Into the Woods) and Smokey (Damn Yankees). In his spare time, Daniel runs Dark Horse Company Theatre, writes music and leads his band, Vivian’s Way.

WILLIAMS* (Benjamin Coffin III) Having just come off of the national tour of the Lincoln Center production of South Pacific, Gregory is excited to be performing at Pioneer Theatre Company for the first time. NYC credits: Broadway’s Rising Stars III (Town Hall) and York Theatre’s 4@15 production of The Wake. Regional: ...Forum (TriArts at the Sharon Playhouse). A recent graduate of New York University, his college credits include Flick in Violet, Maximilian in Candide, Ed Bishop in Floyd Collins, A Little Night Music and King David.
