ENRIQUE ACEVEDO (Kevin Rosario) is excited to be returning to Pioneer Theatre Company for his fourth show. MELISSA BLATHERWICK (Camila Rosario) Armed with a degree in musical theatre from Shenandoah University, Blatherwick has been blessed to perform regionally and around the world by land and by sea. Favorite regional credits: In the Heights (Fulton), Seussical (Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre & Fulton), Crazy for You (American Ballet Theatre), Damn Yankees (West Hawaii Dance Theatre) and 42nd Street (Cohoes Music Hall). CARLETON BLUFORD (Benny) was in the ensemble of Pioneer Theatre Company’s It Happened One Christmas and the Regional Premiere of The Count of Monte Cristo. He also played Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show, Graffiti Pete in In the Heights and Joshua Moore in the reading of Alabama Story. He has previously appeared in Plan-B Theatre Company’s Wallace, Slam and The Third Crossing, which was nominated for three Arty Awards by Salt Lake City Weekly. Other acting credits include Jesus Christ Superstar (Park City’s Egyptian Theatre), Ragtime (Hale Centre Theatre), The Overwhelming (Salt Lake Acting Company), Ruined (People Productions) and Civil War with Merrill Osmond (Hale Centre Theatre). Bluford has played the role of Benny at Moonlight Amphitheater in San Diego and at Musical Theatre West in Long Beach and is excited to return to PTC’s stage to perform among friends and family.

ARIANA ESCALANTE (Vanessa) A Utah native, Escalante is an acclaimed TV and online personality based in Los Angeles, California. Fresh off a hit show with the Bravo TV network, she is thrilled to make her way back to her greatest love, the theatrical stage. She is reunited with the brilliant team at Pioneer Theatre Company, where she last performed as Carla in In the Heights, as well as Vanessa’s understudy, in 2012. She has performed in venues throughout the U.S. and most recently headlined as a sold-out guest soloist at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Escalante has been featured in popular national television shows on ABC, Bravo, CBS and NBC, and she is an on-camera spokesperson for global brands including Acura, Ford, Levis, Marriott and Verizon.

DAVID GUY HOLMES (Ensemble) Pioneer Theatre Company credits: Newsies, The Rocky Horror Show, Fiddler on the Roof, Peter and the Starcatcher, Sweet Charity, A Christmas Carol, In the Heights and Rent. Grateful to be doing what I love, with the people I love. Thank you Karen, Lenny, Helen and the rest of the incredible PTC family!

DIEGO KLOCK-PÉREZ (Usnavi de la Vega) is making his PTC debut in search of a new place to call home. He was born and raised in south Florida and proudly represents his Puerto Rican culture. Catching the theatre bug at a young age, his first play was in third grade. “Stick to it, and don’t give up” is probably every actor’s motto! Favorite credits: Summer Repertory Theatre, Oscar in The Odd Couple, Jacob in La Cage Aux Folles and Zach in A Chorus Line; and Usnavi at SpeakEasy Stage Company, Aurora Theatre, Theatrical Outfit, The Fulton Opera House and Wheelock Family Theatre. He attended New World School of the Arts at Miami Dade College and also studied at the Boston Conservatory of Music. Dedicated to Susan Marie Kairalla.

TITO LIVAS (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his PTC main stage debut in In the Heights. Most recently, he was seen as Giorgio in Sondheim’s Passion at Good Company Theatre, Brian in SLAC’s Mercury and debuting a new musical by the creators of Guys and Dolls, entitled Another Roll of the Dice, at the Wyoming Theatre Festival. Other credits include being a lead singer for Holland America Cruises, Princess Cruises and Resorts, and Walt Disney World, as well as having the great privilege of working with David Byrne and Alex Timbers on the new musical Here Lies Love at The Public Theater. He has also performed with the Alaska and Idaho Shakespeare Festivals, and toured with the National Theatre for Children and Theatreworks USA.

JAYNE LUKE (Abuela Claudia) was last seen at PTC in The Producers. Her first acting role for this company was in Death of a Salesman 30 years ago. She choreographed many shows for PTC from 1982 to 2012. She has worked in most of the theatres in Utah and recent favorite roles include Amanda in Glass Menagerie, Jeanette in The Full Monty and Carrie Watts in The Trip to Bountiful (The Grand Theatre), Mary Lazarus in Sister Act (Hale Centre Theatre), Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret (Utah Rep.), Grandma Addams in The Addams Family and Abuela in In the Heights (Hale Center Theater Orem), Ruth in Facing East (Plan-B Theatre Company), Kimberly in Kimberly Akimbo (Salt Lake Acting Company) and Daisy in Driving Miss Daisy (Walk-Ons, Inc.).

TOMAS JOAQUIN MATOS (Sonny) is thrilled to be returning to Pioneer Theatre Company! He was last seen as Elmer in Newsies this past winter. Matos is also extremely excited to be doing his second production of In the Heights, after recently performing in the musical at his alma mater, the renowned “Fame” school. Previous credits include Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (Miss Understanding), West Side Story (Bernardo), Rent (Angel) and Beauty and the Beast (Lumière). As a new and proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, he would like to give all of his thanks to Karen and the entire PTC team for giving him this opportunity to come back to the theatre he loves to call home. IZZY ARRIETA (Graffiti Pete, Ensemble) was recently seen in the PTC production of Newsies as “Buttons.” His previous performances include Fiddler on the Roof (Sundance), In the Heights (Hale Center Theater Orem) and Tarzan (Hale Center Theater Orem), where he also assisted local choreographer, Jennifer Barlow. Along with performing, Arrieta also enjoys choreographing—his most recent work in assisting was Aida at the new Hale Centre Theatre in Sandy. He wants to send a huge thank you to the PTC fam for welcoming him back to the stage. @izzyarrieta

LANCE BARKER (Ensemble) is excited to return to Pioneer Theatre Company for In the Heights. He was last seen in Pioneer Theatre Company’s production of Newsies! Barker is currently a company member of Odyssey Dance Theatre. He also danced in Saturday Night Fever for Royal Caribbean Productions. He is a proud alumni of the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts and the University of Utah (BFA modern dance).

ASHLEY GARDNER CARLSON (Ensemble) has been seen in every concert series show since its inception and she is honored to do it once again. Regional credits: PTC, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Moonlight Amphitheater, Lyric Rep., Starlight Musical Theatre and Holland America Entertainment. Most recently, Carlson was seen in PTC’s The Will Rogers Follies and Hale Centre Theatre’s Hello Dolly!.

MONICA GOFF (Ensemble) is a senior in the Actor Training Program at the University of Utah. She is thrilled to make her PTC debut. Previous credits: Katherine in Love’s Labour’s Lost, Chloe in Arcadia (U of U), Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (LAMDA), and company member of Who’s Louis?. Love to Susan, Baylee, Millie and her family.

SKY KAWAI (Ensemble) is a pre-med student in the University of Utah Honors College while earning his BFA in musical theater. Previous roles include Boland in Dogfight (Babcock), Worm in Diary of a Worm, a Spider, and a Fly, (SLAC), Randall in Bring It On: The Musical (Marriott Center for Dance), and Chad in High School Musical 2 (Hale Center Theater Orem). MICKI MARTINEZ (Nina Rosario) is thrilled to be making her PTC debut. She is currently a sophomore in the Musical Theatre Program at the University of Utah, where she recently performed in the U.S. Premiere of The Beautiful Game. Other university credits include Mick’s Pick in Steel Pier and Nautica in Bring It On: The Musical. She was also seen as Butterfly in Diary of a Worm, Spider, and a Fly at Salt Lake Acting Company. MARY C. NIKOLS (Bolero Singer, Ensemble) is so excited to be making her PTC debut! She appeared last in the U.S. Premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Beautiful Game (Babcock Theater). Utah credits include: Footloose (Sandy Amphitheater) and Annie Get Your Gun (Murray Amphitheater). She is a junior in the University of Utah’s MTP, where she has appeared in Bring It On: The Musical (Ensemble), Dogfight (Ruth/Chippy), Steel Pier (Mick’s Pick) and Jesus Christ Superstar (King Herod). Thank you to Karen and everyone at PTC for this wonderful opportunity and all my love to my incredible family and friends.

MILA SANTOS (Carla) is thrilled to make her PTC debut in In the Heights. It has always been her dream to be in this production. She is a senior in the MTP at the U of U. She will be starring as Mary Brenham in the University Theatre Department’s upcoming play, Our Country’s Good in April. Other credits include, Simon in Jesus Christ Superstar (Studio 115), Ensemble in Bring It On: The Musical (Marriott Center for Dance). She thanks her mom for all of her support.
